Other services
Home inspections are the day job. These are the other things I am equipped and qualified to do — all under one licensed, insured company rather than a scattering of side businesses.
Why the list is this long
I like learning things, and it keeps turning into work.
I have never been much good at doing one thing. Construction, corrections, firearms instruction, aircraft, thermal imaging, building websites — none of it was a career plan. Something caught my interest, I dug into it until I actually understood it, and often enough somebody eventually needed it done.
That is really what this page is. Not a company trying to be five companies, just one person who would rather learn a thing properly than hire it out, and who has ended up with a range of skills wide enough to be useful to a lot of different people. A realtor needs listing photos. A landowner wants to know what is actually living on his property. A small business is paying monthly for a website nobody visits. Somebody new to a handgun wants to be taught rather than shouted at.
They look unrelated on paper. From where I sit they are the same thing — work I understand well enough to do properly, done for people who need it. If you have something that sounds like it might fit, ask. The worst outcome is I tell you it is not mine to take on and point you at somebody better placed.
Aerial photography and video
FAA Part 107 certified with night operations authorization, flying a DJI Matrice with a zoom camera and a radiometric thermal payload. That combination covers a good deal more than pretty overhead shots.
Property & listings
Real estate listing photos and video, lot lines and elevation context, acreage and land listings, farms and hunting ground. The shot that shows a buyer what the property actually sits on.
Construction & documentation
Progress documentation through a build, roof and storm damage from above, before-and-after sets, and site overviews for contractors and owners who need a record rather than a brochure.
Events & general video
Venues, gatherings, businesses that want footage of their own place. Editing to a finished clip if you want one, or the raw files if you have someone who handles that.
Thermal work
Radiometric thermal for roof moisture, heat loss and livestock or wildlife counts. Different camera, different job, same aircraft.
Land & acreage
Boundary context, timber and field layout, water and access. Useful for listings, for owners planning work, and for anyone arguing about where a line runs.
Bundled with an inspection
Already having me out for an inspection is the cheapest way to get aerials of the same property. Ask when you book and it is one trip instead of two.
Pricing depends on the property and what you need out of it — call or text and describe the job. Flights follow Part 107, which means daylight or authorized night operations, clear of controlled airspace unless authorization is in hand, and within visual line of sight.
Drone herd surveys
Thermal survey flights over your ground to tell you what is actually living on it. A landowner or lease manager guessing at herd numbers from trail cameras is working with a keyhole view; a thermal pass on a cold night covers the whole property and counts what is there.
- Population counts. Animals present on the ground during the flight, mapped to where they were. Repeat it across a season and you have a trend rather than an impression.
- Distribution and bedding. Where deer are actually holding at night, which is frequently not where the cameras are.
- Habitat and travel. Field edges, bedding cover, travel between food and bedding — read from above rather than guessed at from a stand.
- Off-season timing. Best flown after leaf drop and on cold nights, when contrast is strongest and canopy is thinnest.
This is survey work for landowners and lease managers, not a hunting aid. Flights are conducted outside of hunting activity, and nobody in the party is hunting while the aircraft is up. Kentucky regulation 301 KAR 3:140 restricts using aircraft to hunt, take, drive, herd or harass wildlife — survey flights are flown at altitude specifically to avoid disturbing animals, and if you want certainty for your own situation, talk to your local Kentucky game warden before booking.
Thermal deer recovery
Lost the blood trail after dark? A thermal drone reads body heat against cool ground and covers in minutes what a search party covers in a night. This one has its own pages, because there is a great deal to say about it and the rules differ by state.
South Central Kentucky
$375 call-out, $100 only if the drone puts you on your deer. Flying all night through the season.
Northeast Ohio
Ashtabula, Trumbull and Mahoning counties, seasonally, when I am back at the Pennsylvania properties. Flown under Ohio's written recovery rule.
While you wait
Wait times by shot placement, why a rutting buck travels farther than the hit suggests, and what to do between the shot and the aircraft arriving.
Lost pets and livestock
The same thermal camera that finds a downed deer finds a missing dog, cat, horse or head of cattle. It reads body heat against cooler ground and covers fields, brush and treelines in an hour that a search party covers in a night.
Unlike a deer recovery, the clock is not working against you — a lost animal stays warm the whole time it is out there, and animals have been found days after going missing. What grows with time is the search area, which is why calling early still matters.
$375 search
Up to two hours of flight time. Plus $100 only if the drone locates your animal — no find, no found fee.
I locate, you catch
A frightened dog comes to a familiar voice, not a stranger. Once it is found the aircraft backs off and I talk you in.
Honest odds first
Thermal cannot see under a deck, inside a barn or through heavy summer canopy. You will hear that before you spend anything.

Website development
Small business sites, built and run by one person. Structure, copy, design, forms, hosting setup and the search basics that decide whether anyone finds it. No agency retainer, no monthly fee for a template somebody else maintains.
Everything below was built start to finish, including this site.
SoKY Local
A free business directory for Bowling Green and the surrounding counties — listings, owner claiming, reviews, sponsor booking and payments. Free to list and free to search.
Baylee Russell
An agent site for a Keller Williams realtor in Central City — listings, bio, contact, and the local search groundwork to go with it.
Tactical Hotdog Co
An apparel brand site with a shop, a mascot that turns up uninvited and a hidden mini-game. Proof that not everything has to be serious.
If you are a local business paying a monthly fee for a template site nobody visits, it is worth a conversation. Tell me what you are paying now and what it does for you, and I will tell you straight whether I can do better or whether you should stay put.
Private firearms instruction
Individual and small-group instruction, taught rather than shouted. Fourteen years with the Department of Corrections, nine of them on its Hostage Rescue Team, and time as that team's armorer. Certified through NLEFIA, and a certified handgun and shotgun instructor through the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
New shooters
Safe handling, loading and unloading, storage, stance and grip, and the fundamentals that actually put rounds where you intend. No assumptions about what you already know.
Handgun
Marksmanship fundamentals, presentation from holster, malfunction clearance and practical accuracy at realistic distances.
Shotgun
Patterning, loading and reloading under pressure, transitions and the handling differences that catch people out.
Home defence planning
Sensible conversation about storage, access, family planning and what happens after — the parts that matter more than the range time.
Maintenance
Cleaning, inspection and the armorer's view of what wears, what matters and what is fine to ignore.
Instruction style
Explaining things is the part of the day job I enjoy most. Same approach here — nothing gets barked at you, and no question is too basic.
Instruction is not legal advice, and it does not constitute a Kentucky concealed carry certification. Call or text to talk about what you are after.
Questions
Common questions
Are these separate businesses?
Do you do this full time?
What drone do you fly?
Do you build websites for other businesses?
Got something in mind?
Call or text and describe the job. If it is not something I should be doing, I will tell you that too.
